A life of service and devotion: in memoriam of Chaplain Paul Pitts

Few people live a life as spirited and poignant as the life that Chaplain Paul Pitts lead. Chaplain Pitts dedicated his life to working and ministering in his community and providing much-needed support and guidance to his fellow veterans. “He was totally—100%—devoted to veterans,” Father Philip Shaw said of his dear friend. Pitts worked as an Airforce Auxiliary Chaplain, a hospice Chaplain for Living Waters Hospice in Golden Valley, and as a Chaplain for countless other service members and first responders in our community. “He probably did his best work through the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council,” Shaw continued. “He was the guy all the vets went to.” Chaplain Pitts performed

BULLHEAD CITY – A veteran member of the Bullhead City Police Department has lost a prolonged battle with COVID-19 and complications from the coronavirus. The agency expressed deep sadness in a Facebook post noting Friday night’s passing of Lieutenant Nick Sessions. Sessions joined the Department in January 1999. “You could always count on Lt. KINGMAN – Mohave County is mourning the loss of Yvonne Orr, its Administrative Services Director. Orr had been treated for an unspecified period of time at Kingman Regional Medical Center before she was transferred to a Phoenix hospital where she died Thursday. “With a very sad and heavy heart I inform you that Yvonne Orr passed away today,” county manager Sam Elters said in a memo to county employees. “Her family is in a state of shock and have asked for privacy.” Elters’ memo asked that the family not be contacted and it did not indicate a cause of Orr’s death. He is survived by his loving wife, Joan of Chloride, Ariz.; his son Kevin Muir of Hawaii; and stepson David Miranda of California.
