Councilman Mieding passes away Sunday

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City has lost another Council member.

“It is with great sadness that we inform our residents of the passing of Bullhead City Councilman John Mieding,” a Bullhead City Facebook post said Sunday. “John passed away today at his home. Please keep Robynne and the Mieding family in your thoughts and prayers.”

Mieding was appointed to the Council in June when former member Mark Clark resigned to become the Municipal Utilties Superintendent. The Council is already engaged in a selection process to replace Kathy Bruck, the former Council member who died last month.

Mieding also served as Facilities Manager for Mohave County. He was key in overseeing more than a half dozen capital improvement projects involving $75 million in expenditures this fiscal year.
