Leader’s long farewell: Havasu Parks and Recreation director resigns

LAKE HAVASU CITY — Lake Havasu City announces the resignation of Parks and Recreation Director Gabby Vera, with her final day of service to the City being May 1, 2026.

Vera served the community with dedication and played an important role in advancing the City’s parks, recreation programs, and public spaces. During her tenure, she supported improvements that enhanced the quality of life for residents and visitors, including expanded recreational opportunities and continued investment in accessible, inclusive amenities.

“Gabby is a valued member of our team, and we are grateful for her contributions to Lake Havasu City,” said City Manager Jess Knudson. “Her commitment to serving made a positive impact on our community.”

The City appreciates Vera’s service and wishes her continued success in her future endeavors.

Lake Havasu City is in the process of identifying the next Parks and Recreation Director. In the interim, department operations will continue without interruption to ensure ongoing service to the community.
