Kingman City Hall hires Hall

Sarah Hall

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman has hired a communications professional after its former Public Information Officer position has been vacant, with many of its duties filled by Clerk Annie Meredith in recent years.

City Manager Tim Walsh said a recruiting, vetting and interviewing process has led to the selection of Sarah Hall, a near life-long Lake Havasu City resident employed by Mohave County for 16 years.

“She’s been working with Supervisor Johnson for quite some time. I had the pleasure of working with her when I was at the county and always found her well informed,” Walsh said. “She knew the issues. She knows the area well. She knows the various players and is familiar with a lot of things going on in the county and the city of Kingman.”

Hall will soon leave her Post as Executive Assistant to supervisor Johnson to become Kingman’s Communications and Marketing Coordinator.

“She’ll be getting the stories out, sharing what the city is doing, telling our story and really marketing Kingman and sharing all the good things that we’re doing here,” Walsh said.

Hall said her work with supervisor Johnson has provided foundation for her transition.

“I do his press releases. I do his social media for him. I pretty much do all of the things that I’ll be doing in this new job,” Hall said. “I’m looking forward to this new adventure. I’m happy for the opportunity.”

Hall reports to City Hall on Oct. 14.
