Kingman baseball, softball teams making changes

baseball

KINGMAN – The Kingman school athletics barometer has experienced two schools moving up in the standings as of Monday, March 10, three schools moving down, and two holding the same position over last week.

There has been no movement at the top with Mohave Accelerated in the number one position by over 200 points over Kingman Academy. Both Tiger baseball and softball teams have winning records to move up one spot to second. The cellar position is unchanged with Lee Williams continuing to be at number 7.

The major movement has been on the strength of Kingman High School’s baseball team that has six wins against only one loss to this point in the season.

The standings of the seven area high schools are based on the winning percentages of football, boys’ and girls’ basketball, baseball, and softball. River Valley was the leader at the end of football season. Mohave Accelerated boys’ basketball team lead the way with Kingman Academy girls’ basketball team for that season.

Currently, Kingman baseball is tops with Mohave Accelerated softball topping the girls group.
