PHOENIX – The Arizona Diamondbacks begin their 2025 season with an Opening Day celebration on Thursday, March 27 at Chase Field for the first of four games against the Chicago Cubs. Opening Day pregame ceremonies begin at 6:30 p.m., and the game starts at 7:10 p.m.
KINGMAN – The Kingman school athletics barometer has experienced two schools moving up in the standings as of Monday, March 10, three schools moving down, and two holding the same position over last week.
KINGMAN – Kingman baseball prodigy Tarik Skubal shined bright and earned the win in his first major league baseball playoff appearance Tuesday. The 27-year-old starting pitcher for the Detroit Tigers tossed six scoreless innings, giving up just four hits and one walk while striking out six Astros in Houston.
Skubal, the heavy favorite to win the Cy Young award as the American League’s most outstanding pitcher, dazzled and dominated and positioned himself for a possible shutout before Houston scored off the bullpen in the ninth inning.
