Healthy blood donors needed in wake of coronavirus pandemic

UPDATED aPRIL 24, 2020

There will be no blood drive Sun, April 26, at St Mary’s Catholic Church, 302 E Spring St, Parish Ctr, as previously reported.

As our country faces the Coronavirus pandemic, we also face a national blood shortage as blood drives are canceled daily.  It’s critical for healthy eligible Americans to give blood.  Both the U.S. Surgeon General and FEMA have declared blood donation as an essential function that cannot be disrupted.  Not having enough blood to meet basic patient needs will cause yet another public health crisis.  Please schedule your blood donation appointment today and remember to continue giving blood throughout the year.

Mon, April 27, 12pm-4pm, Fraternal Order of the Eagles #3744, 4536 N Patsy Dr, Meeting Rm

The blood drive schedule is in a fluid state due to the impact of the Coronavirus. Locations may be cancelled and added daily.

For the most up-to-date list, and to make an appointment, visit www.vitalant.org.
