Nonprofit hosts first community health fair of the year

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Whether it’s to improve health or maintain your quality of life, the Havasu Community Health Foundation is always making sure that the city stays well informed on facts regarding one’s well-being.

Since 2005, the healthcare nonprofit has been raising awareness throughout the community with their various ongoing programs like suicide prevention, healthcare for veterans, Parkinsons support, nutritional health, and many other beneficial health related support systems.

Outside of their onsite assistance, the Havasu Community Health Foundation is well known for their ongoing engaging events that many locals can attend such as their Moving for Memory Walk for Dementia and their Healthy Striders walks which encourage mobility and physical health. Another way the health foundation attracts the community is through their continuous health fairs.

Next week, their first spring health fair of 2025 is set to take place. This year’s event will showcase over 50 vendors providing brief presentations regarding physical therapy, diabetes, eye care, healing wounds, and many more. Free health screenings will be available as well for skin cancer and HIV. Massage demos will also be accessible and so will martial arts displays. Gourmet Coffee will be offering beverages along with a continental breakfast from Sunrise Rotary club.

This year’s Community Health Fair is scheduled to take place on Saturday, February 15 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Lake Havasu Aquatic Center.

Discovering a complete listing of future events hosted by the Havasu Community Health Foundation can be found by visiting Havasu Community Health Foundation.org.
