Fatal Havasu crash may have been from a medical condition

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A health event may explain a traffic fatality in Lake Havasu City. Police report that 26-year-old Colton Colebrook was found unresponsive following the single vehicle collision at 11:42 a.m. on Aug. 14 in the 2300 block of Havasupai Avenue.

Sergeant Kyl Ridgway said Colebrook was unconscious and not breathing when officers removed him from the vehicle and began performing life-saving measures. Colebrook died following emergency medical transport to Havasu Regional Medical Center.

“The investigation has revealed that Colton suffered from an unknown medical condition just prior to the low-speed collision,” Ridgway said. “Alcohol/drug impairment or speed are not believed to be a factor.”

Investigation continues.
