Will you help “Make America Great Again

Dear Editor, Will you help “Make America Great Again”? Please go to the Mohave County Elections office, and request papers to be an elected Republican precinct committeeman. Just collect 10 signatures of registered Republicans in your neighborhood precinct and turn them in by 5pm on April 1st. That’s it. Then you will be able to be part of the team fighting to protect our Republic. Join me today, there’s not much time left. Per an official letter sent out by MCRCC, it appears that the Mohave County Central Committee is trying to rig the precinct committeeman election in favor of…

H2O or NO?

Dear Editor, Water, water everywhere, or any a drop to drink? Samuel Taylor Coleridge’s poem, ‘The Rime of the Ancient Mariner’ , written in 1834, seems in many ways, to sum up an impending disaster for Kingman and Mohave County: “Water, water everywhere, nor any a drop to drink.” As a resident and homeowner in the city of Kingman, I have heard far too many worrisome reports about our aquifers being at reclining low levels and then reports that refute that claim which offsets the unsettling alarm. Will Kingman ever run dry? Will the cost of water become unaffordable? Will…

What do you expect from our next President?

Dear Editor, I’m voting for the Presidential candidate who will promise to keep Social Security solvent. I’ve hit the age where I’m finally on the receiving end of some of this government money and I want to keep it going. Never fear, I’m still paying plenty of taxes. I’m still holding down a job so Uncle Sam takes a big slice of every pay check.  Seventy million Americans feel the same way I do when It comes to Social Security. For over 30 million Americans, Social Security is all they have and many do not even collect $2,000 a month….

What Nikki Haley and Joe Manchin Should Do

Dear Editor, Nikki Haley is overall respected for her political service.   She did a good job as Governor of South Carolina for two terms and as an Ambassador for our country. Personally, I can see her as doing a fine job as President of the United States, but it won’t be this time around.  Haley has already lost Iowa, New Hampshire and even her home state of South Carolina. She wasn’t even in the contest when it came to the voting. Outcomes don’t look any more promising for her in the state of Michigan and the following Super Tuesday states.  There…

Medical care – A consequence of Kingman’s population growth

Dear Editor, Kingman has a 2024 population of 37,016. Kingman is currently growing at a rate of 2.92% annually and its population has increased by 12.53% since the most recent census, which recorded a population of 32,895 in 2020. Most Kingman residents already know the difficulties identifying “available” medical professionals for an appointment, medical evaluation and treatment. Given our recorded and prospective population growth, those tasks will increase proportionally – leaving many residents without needed medical care. Many, if not most, know I am currently a candidate for Kingman City Council. In prior writings and messages, I’ve noted my commitment…
