The Board of Supervisors just approved a $70K payment for a Trade Zone consultant thinking that this was an investment to possibly get some kind of return for the county.

Thunder Rode thanks supporters

Dear Editor,
Thunder-Rode Motorcycle Accessories hosted their 2nd annual “Thunder-Rode BikeFest” in April. Thunder-Rode BikeFest featured three days of motorcycle rally activities, including: a motorcycle street market, Miss Thunder-Rode search, and live music. Admittance was free the entire weekend for all guests. Approximately 3,000 to 5,000 bikers strolled through the gates at Thunder-Rode BikeFest during Arizona Route 66 Bike Week from New Mexico, Utah, Nevada, California, and our home state of Arizona.

Rancho Santa Fiasco

Dear Editor,
For many years now the people of Kingman have heard and touted the benefits of a second bridge over Hwy I-40 in Kingman slated to be called the Rancho Santa Fe Interchange. A second bridge would be much more than an additional convenient and direct way to cross over and connect Kingman communities, it also offers hope and promise for attracting interstate commerce as well as bringing new stores and businesses to serve the local community. It is most unfortunate the pathway to building the bridge has had more problems and potholes than the sum total of all Kingman roads.

Everyone needs hope     

Dear Editor. There is much you and I can’t do anything about.  If you live, you can’t stop aging. The only way to stop aging is to die.  We can’t make ourselves younger. The eighteen-year-old may wish to be a few years older for various reasons. Once you turn nineteen you can’t go back to eighteen. You can look young for a long time but looking young and actually being young are two different things.  There are many illnesses you can’t do much about. You can see the finest doctors in the country and obtain the latest medications and procedures…
