Dear Editor, Are you aware that a local pharmacy, in Kingman, changed their opioid prescribing policy on August 19? The new policy limits prescriptions to 90 pills/patient/month. I was receiving 120/month for the past two years. I found out about the policy change when I went to pick up my prescription on Friday, September 6. Dear Editor, On September 16, the Mohave County Board of Supervisors signed a Proclamation designating October Domestic Violence Awareness Month. This month is designated to bring awareness to communities of this nationwide epidemic. The goal is to educate, create conversations and create culture changes within the community. Domestic violence is a pattern of controlling behaviors where one person uses their power to control the other. Dear Editor, Read Don Heck’s letter from the Sept. 15 edition. While I agree with much of what he espouses; although I question his denigration of the media in general, if the facts are reported and you don’t like what you read / hear, you cannot just lambaste reports as fake news.
