Dear Editor, Waiting in the line to go shopping I struck up a long distance conversation with a lady who was saying she just couldn’t believe how so many things just disappeared off the shelves and how she was so happy that there were special hours for us. The sick and the very elderly were typically pardoned but that was as far as grace was extended.  The vast majority of churches across the land did not televise their services or broadcast church on the radio. Traditionally churches have preferred keeping their flock coming to the “house of God.”   Essentially most churches haven’t changed their philosophy. Dear Editor, Chicken Little rides again! Or so it seems. No, the sky is not falling nor is it the end of days. We human beings have some startling weaknesses to go with our numerous strengths. Our reaction (as a group of supposedly thinking beings) to the covid-19 pandemic panic has been something less than admirable. Yes, the virus is real and yes people have died and are dying from it, but we lose more people every year from the influenza virus than we have lost from covid-19 so far.
