Capitalistic flaws apparent during crisis
Dear Editor, Some of capitalism’s flaws are beginning to emerge under the strain of the COVID-19 pandemic. Supply and demand is one of its primary cornerstones and has resulted in states fighting over PPE, masks, gowns and ventilators that are being sold to the highest bidder. Reports indicate the 3M Company is manufacturing masks and selling to countries offering cash payments. Sources indicate the Trump administration has been aware of this impending pandemic since January when reports were emerging from China.
