ER visitor expresses gratitude

For the past several years, I have been a volunteer at Kingman Regional Medical Center and it has been very rewarding. Recently though I have had some health issues which required several trips to the Emergency Department. Kingman should be proud to have such a fine hospital and excellent ED. I’m grateful to everyone for the wonderful care I received and especially nurse first Bonnie, phlebotomist Jovie, EKG Tech Karl, LNAs Anthony and Dora, PA Wyatt, RNs Owen and Lauren, and the amazing Richard Henderson, MD. Hopefully I am on the path to good health once again and can soon…

George Floyd, protestor violence – how to solve all this Dear Editor,

The death of George Floyd at the hands of police should never have happened.  It was murder and a dark moment in America. The looting, terrorism and burning of American cities by so called protestors is criminal and a dark moment in America. The Minneapolis police officers involved in Floyd’s death must be held accountable. Don’t you work here too?” This person seemed nice and she was young too but I couldn’t help but be a little turned off and her niceness disappeared. All I…

Hate never solves anything.

Some of the nicest people I’ve known have been police officers from county to state to city cops. I have some dear friends who wear badges and they are good people. The police officers who killed George Floyd on May 25th in Minneapolis at that moment and time were not good people. I would never say they haven’t been good people or have the potential to be good people but what they did that day was an act of hate and evil. There was nothing good about that scene of a defenseless man being choked to death. The police were…
