Dear Editor, We are unceasingly deluged with descriptions and images of cities being destroyed piecemeal by organized crowds of sanctioned and protected thugs who, completely unopposed, riot, loot, burn and destroy the property and businesses of hard-working, productive, taxpaying citizens. As outrageous as that is, the same closely directed mobs are defacing and destroying public buildings, blocking highways and tearing down monuments. These cowardly wannabe warriors are bravely attacking innocent, inoffensive and frail elderly people on the streets. If these sorts of activities were being committed against our citizens and our country by uniformed foreign troops, it would rightly be…

Dear Editor, The Green New Deal, climate and economic justice legislation popularized by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, should include funding for cultured-meat research. This new form of protein is grown from cells, without slaughtering animals. It has the potential to end our reliance on one of the most significant contributors to global warming. I’m talking about traditional animal agriculture. Cultured meat isn’t science fiction. Many companies are developing such products for market. For instance, Mission Barns will hold a public taste-testing for its cultivated bacon this month. However, cost is still an issue. Further development is needed to make this technology economically…
