Dear Editor, One problem with all Americans making a minimum of $15 an hour is that some business owners don’t make $15 an hour.  Hundreds of thousands of small business owners struggle every day to keep the lights on and the doors of their business open. The only way they can afford help is with people who are willing to work for a low wage. This is tough for all. Dear Editor, Another writer argues for the Electoral College system in which she opines, “Without the Electoral college you have effectively disenfranchised the rest of the country’s voters.” The point is, with the Electoral College you have disenfranchised the majority of the voters. Government of the people, by the people, and for the people, as Abraham Lincoln so eloquently expressed at Gettsyburg, does not signify minority rule. As noted before, ratios of one elector for 700,000 people  should not be negated by an elector representing only 200,000 people in my opinion. Lloyd Dickson Seligman

Dear Editor, Arizona is one of the fastest growing states in the country, with enviable economic expansion and population growth. This growth, however, depends upon steady and reliable sources of water, a precious natural resource that must be sustainably managed. Here in Mohave County, our industries, particularly our agricultural community, need reliable water supplies. It’s the foundation upon which our economy rests. Groundwater in particular is a fundamental part of this growth, and new research from Arizona State University found that it contributed an estimated 43% of Arizona’s gross domestic product (GDP), or $1.2 trillion to the economy, over the course of nine…
