Will Biden pay your student loan?

Dear Editor, The average college debt among student loan borrowers in America is $32,731, according to the Federal Reserve. The majority of borrowers have between $25,000 and $50,000 outstanding in student loan debt. There is an increasing number of student loan borrowers who owe in excess of $100,000. Some, who have spent many years in graduate schools may owe closer to $200,000. Overall, Americans owe over $1.71 trillion in student loan debt, spread out among about 44.7 million borrowers.  Senate leader Chuck Schumer of New York, along with Sen. Thoughts on development fees

Dear Editor,                                                                                                 The City Council of Kingman wants to impose impact fees from the current $1,456 to $6,108. That is five times higher in one action. This would have a detrimental effect on all business in the Kingman area. Kingman’s growth is sustainable and has not moved to the status of urban sprawl. The City is using a study by a company from Maryland to attempt to meet the state requirements to move ahead with the impact fees. The study is flawed and technically does not meet the state requirements to impose the impact fees. The study is generic at…

Where did they go?

Dear Editor, What has become of all the real Democrats? I was raised in a loving and close knit Democrat family and have many Democrat friends, so I recognize and respect the true Democrat. That is the God-fearing, productive person who works hard to provide for his or her family. The man or woman head of household who grinds away at the task of making the world a better place for their kids. This is the person who may or may not be a property owner, but respects the property of others. This is the person who stands, with hand…

Why we must keep the Electoral College

Simple explanation as to why we must keep our Electoral College system: There are 3,141 counties in the United States. Trump won 3,084 of them. Clinton won 57. There are 62 counties in New York state. Trump won 46 of them. Clinton won 16. Clinton won the popular vote approx. 1.5 million votes. In the 5 counties that encompass NYC, (Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Richmond & Queens) Clinton received well over 2 million votes than Trump. (Clinton only won 4 of the these counties, Trump won Richmond) Therefore these 5 counties alone, more than accounted for Clinton winning the popular vote…
