The abductions of Delfina McCanna: Part 1 of 3

Dear Editor, Delfina McCanna was an impressionable 12-year-old girl living with her family in Chloride, AZ during the 1970s.There wasn’t anything out of the ordinary about the McCanna family who resided in the former mining town that’s nestled in the western foothills of the Cerbat Mountains just east of Golden Valley. She and her brother attended school in a nearby town, her mother was a stay-at-home mom, and she believes her dad worked for the U.S. government but didn’t know where or what his actual job was. She did, however, remember that when her dad normally left for work, he…

Response to “Gosar Hypocritical?” letter

Dear Editor, This is in response to the 1-5-22 letter titled “Gosar Hypocritical?” I don’t think it was Jen Miles who didn’t do her homework. The author of this letter has obviously done no homework. First, I would like to clarify (before I am labeled by hate) that I am a registered independent. I vote policy, not personality. I actually do a lot of homework before casting my vote. The author is worried about the country having an “alternative to a democratic government.” It’s too late to worry about that because that’s what we have now under this regime. They…

New fire district?

Dear Editor, Misinformation is all I see from the proponents of the new fire district. These same people were associated with the former fire district, and were either removed, or asked to leave (I wonder why?). Is this a ploy to gain back management of the fire district funds? To put it bluntly, if this “new district” is allowed, you can bet your property taxes will rise! The allotted budget currently for this area will be reduced, if the new fire district is allowed, by as much as 33%. So how do we get adequate fire coverage with reduced budget? You…

Seek first the kingdom of God

Dear Editor, One of the Creator’s most important directives to mankind tells us to seek first the kingdom of God.  In Proverbs 8:17 He said, “I love those that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.” Because this world has become so ungodly and morally corrupt, our children are finding it more difficult to learn about God and learn about loving Him and seeking His righteousness. Instead, they are taught things that are an abomination to God.  Because of their unbelief of God, and not accepting that, in fact, God created heaven and earth, and everything ever created,…
