The great spectacle of God’s creation: Part 1 of 3

Dear Editor,                    Although Mankind will never see the full extent and splendor of the spectacle of God’s great creations, nevertheless, He created everything on, and in, Heaven and Earth, seen and unseen!   From the dust of the Earth, which He spoke into being, He created and formed Adam, in God’s image. He turned Adam into flesh, with trillions of cells, then He breathed a spirit/soul into him, and “man became a living soul.” A full-grown Man.   God put Adam to sleep, removed a rib, then formed Eve, a woman, and gave her a spirit/soul, and she became Adam’s wife. Adam and Eve…

Addressing the destruction of America

Dear Editor, I realize this is conservative territory, but if my liberal (not communistic, there is a difference) slanted letters are causing those on the right to question policies on both sides of the aisle, then this fulfills my intention and should be viewed as a good thing. However, my greatest realization and concern for America is the fact that one person, back by millions, almost brought about the demise of our great democracy. Commentary on Mohave County group homes: Part 2 of 2

Dear Editor, Life has been tough for us in the group homes, but I’m happy to say our prayers have been answered. We’re extremely excited that our quality of life is much better thanks to a few dedicated people. The woman who runs our group home in Golden Valley has always strived to make us residents as comfortable as possible. She has continually dedicated herself to taking care of us, ensuring we have a clean, dry place to live, and enough food so we have full stomachs. There isn’t anything worse than going to bed hungry. Another thing she and…

Love your country

Dear Editor, When I went to school, I was not only taught to read. I also learned to comprehend what I read, which would lead to critical thinking. Comprehension: the action or capability of understanding something. Critical thinking: the objective analysis and evaluation of an issue in order to form a judgment. Recently, a person took my words and injected his own interpretation to make my statements completely different than written. This is what has been happening in the mainstream media that has been controlled by the far left for years. It would be an exercise in futility to try…

You can at least say howdy

Dear Editor, “Howdy” was a common everyday word where I grew up. Raised on old Stidham, now known as Milo Road in rural Appalachia, I spent a lot of time at my Grandpa and Grandma Hinkle’s store. People came and went buying gasoline, sandwich meat, snacks, or groceries for the week. There were cane bottom chairs in the store and often people would sit and chat for a while.  Regardless of how many times during the week I walked down the road to that store, the opening salutation was typically “howdy.”  People were in and out of the Hinkle store…
