KRMC begins monoclonal antibody therapy for COVID-19 treatment

KINGMAN – Kingman Regional Medical Center (KRMC) has begun using monoclonal antibodies to treat high-risk COVID-19 patients. Monoclonal antibodies are proteins made in a laboratory to mimic the body’s natural immune response. With this treatment, a patient receives an intravenous (IV) infusion of the antibodies. This can enhance the patient’s ability to fight the virus that causes COVID-19. In November, The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) issued an Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) for certain monoclonal antibody therapies. Drug dealer gets 10 years

BULLHEAD CITY – A Bullhead City man who pleaded guilty in a methamphetamine case hoped he would be sentenced to a 5–7-year prison term on Friday, Dec. 18. Instead, Robert Thomas, 51, accepted a 10-year sentence. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle rejected the punishment limitations of the plea agreement, saying he thought Thomas should serve more time behind bars.
