Vending machine burglar busted

LAKE HAVASU CITY – An investigation of a vending machine crime spree in Lake Havasu City has produced an arrest. Officers have been investigating recent thefts of money from vending machines that have been broken into around the city. Police say they identified Randy Cayton as a suspect before they located and arrested the Beaumont, California man in the 1600 block of McCulloch Blvd. N. on Dec. 17. BHCPD receives Highway Safety Grant

BULLHEAD CITY – Thanks to the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) 2021 Grant, the Bullhead City Police Department will be acquiring new equipment and advanced training for accident investigations. The GOHS Grant awarded $25,159 to purchase 3D accident reconstruction scanning equipment, software and training. “The Police Department’s goal is to make the roadways of Bullhead City as safe as possible,” said Traffic Section Supervisor Sergeant Scott Gillman. “This sophisticated technology and training will bring much needed advancements in our accident reconstruction investigations.” Officers in the Traffic Section and Bureau of Criminal Investigations will receive training on this new equipment…

With home package deliveries occurring frequently this holiday season, the risk of package thefts increase significantly when packages are left unattended outside of your residence for an extended amount of time.  The Lake Havasu City Police Department encourages residents to take steps to avoid packages being stolen, such as signing up for tracking notifications, retrieving parcels as soon as they are delivered, or requiring signatures for delivery. A Kingman man faces prosecution for the traffic accident that killed 5 bicyclists in southern Nevada last Thursday. The Mohave County Sheriff’s office says 45-year-old Jordan Barson was arrested in the Kingman area about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Associated Press reports the Clark County District Attorney’s office has charged Barson with a dozen felony offenses, alleging he was high on methamphetamine when the box truck he was driving struck a group of bicyclists on Highway 95, between Searchlight and Boulder City.
