Yale, Bustillos sentenced for unrelated acts of violence

KINGMAN – Prison sentences were ordered Thursday for Mohave Valley men who entered plea agreements for separate and unrelated acts of violence. Robert Yale, 28, was convicted of aggravated assault for a June 2017 attack upon his 74-year-old wheelchair-bound grandfather-in-law. Yale admitted he was under the influence of drugs when he kicked the man in the head, causing brain bleeding. “He is very sad that this occurred, just heart broken,” defense attorney Anita Dale said of her client’s remorse. It appears my letters are not being taken seriously. They need to be,” Hays said. “Mr….

Anguis refuses to mask up during board meetings

MOHAVE COUNTY – Continuing debate over the merits of face cover during the COVID-19 pandemic turned a bit chippy during Monday’s Board of supervisors meeting. Supervisors circled back to another meandering discussion of county policy requiring non-exempt citizens to wear masks in county buildings and the board auditorium. Board Chairman Jean Bishop noted her concern that Dist. 2 Supervisor Hildy Angius and Dist. 5 Supervisor Ron Gould commonly don’t wear masks while at the dais during meetings. “Supervisor Angius I haven’t shared this before but I feel a little uncomfortable sitting in between you and Supervisor Gould not wearing a…
