KINGMAN – Kingman Parks & Recreation would love to have your family and friends join them for a fun evening of dinner and bingo! Dinner will be potato and ground beef tacos, refried beans, and Mexican rice with dessert and a drink. Bingo will consist of prizes for every winner and the evening will be relaxing and fun! KINGMAN – A Kingman woman was killed Friday, Jan. 26 when the vehicle she was operating was struck by another vehicle that was reportedly fleeing pursuing law enforcement officers. The Arizona Department of Public Safety (DPS) said Sarah Bingham, 21, was fatally injured in the collision at the intersection of North Bank St. and Northern Ave. The suspect later identified as Juan Ortiz, 44, was taken into custody. MOHAVE COUNTY – A student from Colorado City successfully defended his 2023 Mohave County spelling bee championship Friday. Masada Charter school eighth grader Ethan Knudson won in the 11th round with a correct spelling of “nitrate.” Knudson qualified for the March 16 spelling bee in Phoenix. Mohave County School Superintendent Mike File, retiring this year after 40 years of county bee involvement, said Knudson finished eighth at state last spring.
