Vaughan gets four life terms, plus 60 years for sex offenses

KINGMAN – Multiple sex offense convictions and tough Arizona sentencing law results in mammoth punishment for a Kingman man. Alexander Vaughan, 28, was given four consecutive life terms plus 60 more years in prison during a Jan. 2 sentencing hearing at the Mohave County Law and Justice Center in Kingman. Judge Doug Camacho also ordered Vaughan to comply with convicted sex offender registration protocols. And Vaughan is prohibited from contacting two case victims. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City police report six arrests and significant drug seizures during separate traffic stops after Christmas. Mohave Valley fire victims identified

MOHAVE VALLEY – Authorities have released the names of three adults who perished in a Dec. 10 house fire in Mohave Valley following positive identification by the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said the victims include Janell Norris, 53, Alexander Galvez, 54 and Meryia Loftin, 20, who was pregnant. Their bodies were found after crews extinguished the fire at the home in the 2100 block of Lone Star Dr. Mortensen said the 20-year-old man who survived the fire was hospitalized in Las Vegas for treatment of serious injuries.
