KINGMAN – All are invited to honor military past, present and future as the Cerbat Garden Club dedicates the Blue Star Memorial Marker installed at Lewis Kingman Park. MOHAVE VALLEY – A mid-May traffic stop in Mohave Valley netted drug seizures and the arrests of a woman and her mother. Bullhead City police department spokeswoman Emily Fromelt said Detectives were working information that Amber Nowak, 31, was involved in the transportation and sale of illegal drugs in the tri-state area.
KINGMAN – A local judge has broad discretion at an upcoming sentencing hearing for a Kingman man arrested early this year for a sex offense involving a minor. Police reports indicate 69-year-old Russel Farney performed a sex act on a nine-year-old boy in Feb. at his home in the 2900 block of Snavely Ave.
Farney pleaded guilty to a charge reduced to attempted sexual conduct with a minor. Terms of the agreement entered may allow the Court to impose as little as probation and as much as 15 years in prison.
