Fire burning north of Seligman at 100 acres

MOHAVE COUNTY – On March 5, Kingman Fire was requested through Arizona Department of Forestry for an initial attack on a wildland fire in Seligman,. Kingman Fire Department is responding with a type 6 brush unit and three personnel, Captain J. Gilbert, Firefighter M. Eads and Firefighter M. LaRue. The fire is approximately 10 miles north of Seligman, and approximately 100 acres in size with winds that are gusting at 40 mph. One injured in assisted living facility fire

BULLHEAD CITY – A woman was injured during a weekend fire at an assisted living facility in Bullhead City. Fire Department personnel responded at about 9:00 p.m. Sunday, March 3 to the Sunridge Village at 839 Landon Dr. The injured party was transported to Western Arizona Regional Medical Center for treatment. “Crews found a single-occupant room where a fire had ignited, activating the sprinkler system, which contained the fire in the affected room,” a fire department news release stated. “Crews quickly extinguished the blaze.” Authorities were focused on the possibility that smoking had occurred in proximity to oxygen equipment but…

KINGMAN – A Kingman man has been arrested for firing upon a semi-truck and its driver. Personnel from the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) and Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to the incident at about 7:17 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 29. KINGMAN – Law enforcement authorities are looking for the suspect identified in a Kingman homicide investigation. A female gunshot victim was reportedly dead at the scene after Mohave County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the 3100 block of Butler Ave., late Sunday morning, March 3. Detectives were called in to investigate the death of Marie Ann Noelani Garcia, 30.
