With more than 30 years of experience in soccer as a player, coach, author and educator, Podeyn brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for the sport to Northwestern Arizona. Wildfires burning near Seligman

A group of roadside wildfires collectively cover more than a 3,800-acre area about seven miles northwest of Seligman. The Arizona Department of Forestry took command of the Aubrey Wildfire complex on Tuesday. A vehicle traveling along Historic Route 66 is suspected to have sparked the fires early Tuesday afternoon. “We know it was human caused,” said fire information officer Tiffany Davilla. She said it suspected that a vehicle dragging a chain or something else may have sparked the fires, most of them small, but three of them grew together to cover substantial acreage. KINGMAN – Pioneer Country Events will host a gun show at College Park Community Center, 1990 Jagerson Ave., on Saturday and Sunday, March 16 and 17. The gun show welcomes dealers in coins, knives, guns, clipos, ammo, U.S. and foreign military memorabilia, and collectibles of all kinds. Fire burning north of Seligman at 100 acres

MOHAVE COUNTY – On March 5, Kingman Fire was requested through Arizona Department of Forestry for an initial attack on a wildland fire in Seligman,. Kingman Fire Department is responding with a type 6 brush unit and three personnel, Captain J. Gilbert, Firefighter M. Eads and Firefighter M. LaRue. The fire is approximately 10 miles north of Seligman, and approximately 100 acres in size with winds that are gusting at 40 mph.
