Animal shelter move draws near

KINGMAN – Scores of dogs and cats will soon abandon weathered and worn-out kennels at a dilapidated downtown Kingman facility to transition to more comfortable confinement at Mohave County’s brand-new animal shelter at 3629 Burbank St. Woodruff Construction is wrapping up its year-long building campaign and will turn the 9,000 sq. ft. facility over to Animal Shelter Director Nicole Mangiameli at a date uncertain later this month. Arrests made after drugs found during a warrant search

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu City police report the seizure of almost a half-pound of methamphetamine, along with the arrests of two adults. Sergeant Kyle Ridgway said the drug bust is the result of an investigation of subjects selling large quantities of meth throughout the city.Ridgway said the drugs were confiscated during a March 27 warrant-based search of a home in the 2200 block of Interlake Dr.Alberto Vazquez, 42, and Tiffany Ayala, 40, were arrested for possession of dangerous drugs and drug paraphernalia.
