National Trails Day

Bullhead/Laughlin bridge to open June 7

BULLHEAD CITY – The Silver Copper Crossing, a bridge connecting Laughlin, Nev., and Bullhead City, is scheduled to open to the public on Friday, June 7. The opening will include festivities starting at 9 a.m. with a car show, live music, and free coffee and doughnuts. At 10 a.m., there will be an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a car parade with classic and unique cars at 11 a.m. The celebration will continue with food trucks and music from the Laughlin Easy Street Band at the Anderson Auto Group Field House.

BCSD summer camp to have Olympic theme

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City School District students have the opportunity to get a 2024 Paris Olympics head start during summer camp on the Bullhead City Middle School campus.  The free program for students currently in grades four through eight begins May 28. BCSD’s summer camp offerings will focus on STEAM curriculum – science, technology, engineering, art and math.  Interventional tutoring is also available for students who need remedial help before the new school year starts.
