Prayer Walk hosted by Living Word Family Church

LAKE HAVASU CITY – With the nation’s two presidential candidates currently campaigning for the busiest role in the United States, tensions mixed in with anticipation are currently in the hearts of many Americans.  Will voters make history by putting the first female of color in office or, will the presidential candidate of 2017 make a comeback?

Pastor Jesse Cano of Living Word Family Church took notice of the ongoing controversial topics that continue to escalate during this election year. He decided to intervene with faith and worship and organized Lake Havasu’s first ever Prayer Walk and Prayer Rally.

The launch of the event took place on Saturday, October 5 in front of the Lake Havasu Police Department. Pastor Cano invited all congregations of the community to participate in the praying event.

Some of the participating churches were Lakeview Community Church, City on a Hill International Church, Restoration Hope Church, and many others all came together to pray for the election. Participants met early on a Saturday morning in front of the police department for brief discussions, worship, and prayer before heading out for a two-mile walk towards the London Bridge.

Attendees had an option to meet at the bridge at 10 a.m. if they were unable to join the group for the walking portion of the event. Church members from all over Lake Havasu socialized while exchanging encouragement and warm vibes amongst one another.

The local churches even combined musically, as members came together on the London Bridge’s stage to perform songs of love, hope, and inspiration. The churches also provided voter registration forms for the public which contained QR codes that lead to the online version. This was by no means a political event, but rather a community occasion for anyone wanting to gain spiritual clarity during these challenging times.
