Reward offered for information on Chloride residential burglary

CHLORIDE – A resident returning home from an extended leave found their home burglarized. Personal items and several high-valued jewelry collections were taken. The home is located in the 4900 block of Tennessee Avenue. The homeowner and Sheriff Deputies are unable to fix an exact time when the burglary occurred. A $1,000 cash reward is being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible. Anyone with knowledge of this crime are urged to call the Mohave County Sheriff’s Office at (928) 753-0753 and reference case number 19-018357.

MOHAVE COUNTY –  In April and May 2019, several cases of hepatitis A were identified in Mohave County. Hepatitis A is a serious and contagious liver disease caused by the hepatitis A virus. It is most commonly spread when someone puts something in their mouth that has touched the feces (poop) or soiled fingers of an infected person such as food, drinks, or other contaminated objects. Colorado River drought contingency plan approved

The Department of the Interior, Bureau of Reclamation and representatives from all seven Colorado River Basin states gathered Monday, May 20, and signed completed drought contingency plans for the Upper and Lower Colorado River basins. Ten-year sentence for man who stabbed his dad

A Lake Havasu City man who stabbed his own father is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections after entering a plea agreement in Kingman on Wednesday, May 22. Markos Martinez, 22, pleaded guilty to two aggravated assault charges and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officers responding to an August, 2018 report of a stabbing at a home in the 3600 block of Swordfish Drive encountered the victim outside his house, clutching his left wrist which was bleeding. The Kingman Police Department held its 16th Annual Awards Ceremony on Thursday, May 16, during National Police Week.  The 2019 Officer of the Year is Officer Adam Simonsen; Civilian Employee of the Year is Neighborhood Service Officer Sam Kurtz; Explorer of the Year is Lilith Bennett; and Volunteer of the Year is William Kriekel.  A highlight of the ceremony was when eight-year old Dylan DeWolf was recognized with a Citizens Appreciation and Life Saving Award.  Dylan was responsible for helping to save the life of another young boy who became trapped under a heavy trailer.  Dylan came to the aid of…
