Firefighter’s Park hosts JAVC car show

Lake Mead roads to receive around $5 million in improvements

BOULDER CITY – A nearly $5 million pavement preservation project has begun at Lake Mead National Recreation Area to improve roads within the 1.5 million-acre park. The project will include cleaning, patching, resurfacing and re-marking around 75 miles of roads and parking areas from the northern end of the park to Willow Beach. Once completed, it will enhance the visitor experience and meet the park’s maintenance needs. Happy birthday Bullhead City! Repeat offender sentenced after assaulting officers

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A 250-day jail sentence has been imposed for a Lake Havasu City man who scuffled with police at a local night spot. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert also placed David Sterling, 32, on probation for three years and directed him to perform 200 hours of community work service. Judge Lambert said Sterling was asked to leave after he touched a woman inappropriately inside Kokomo’s on June 8.
