MOHAVE COUNTY – The gavel changed hands during Monday’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting, the first of the new year. Supervisor Jean Bishop will serve as Chairman in 2020 after Hildy Angius led the board during 2019. Neighbors who opposed a photovoltaic solar energy project in Fort Mohave were pleased that the Board took no action on three items involving the development project. They applauded when they learned that the property owner has withdrawn and shelved the project. KINGMAN – On Wednesday, January 15, the Route 66 Yacht Club will be hosting a special presentation on tourism and related economic development at Calico’s Restaurant, 418 East Beale St. The event begins at 5:00 p.m. with a meet and greet followed by the presentation at 6:00 p.m. Attendees will receive a complimentary Mother Road Route 66 Passport.
