KINGMAN – —Thunder-Rode Motorcycle Accessories is once again a drop-off location for the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program.  The mission of the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to underprivileged children in the community in which the campaign is conducted. No injuries reported in garage fire

LAKE HAVASU CITY – At approximately 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, , a garage fire was reported in the 3000 block of Sombrero Dr. The first arriving fire company reported fire coming from the garage doors. Four engine companies, one truck company, and a battalion chief responded to the scene and gained control of the fire within 15 minutes. The occupants evacuated the house safely. There were no reported injuries. Ten CERT members responded to the fire to assist with rehab duties for the firefighters. Dog thieves apprehended; dogs’ owner still at large

BULLHEAD CITY – Bullhead City Police arrested two of the three suspects pictured in surveillance video breaking into the animal shelter and stealing two dogs early Thursday morning, Nov. 28. Detectives received several tips regarding the incident, which led police to a residence in the 5600 block of Pearl Street in Fort Mohave. According to a Bullhead City presss release, on Friday night, the suspects Amber Dawn Tourney, 36, and her boyfriend Travis Wade Ramey, 20, were both taken into custody. Bullhead City man killed in pedestrian accident

BULLHEAD CITY – On Tuesday, November 26, at approximately 6 p.m., Bullhead City Police were dispatched to an accident involving a pedestrian at Highway 68, between Davis Camp and the Laughlin Bridge. According to a Bullhead City press release, a man stepped into the roadway and was struck by a northbound vehicle. The pedestrian, Charles James Kiklis Sr., 82, of Bullhead City, was pronounced deceased on scene. No citations have been issued at this time. The accident remains under investigation.

Volunteers sought for a Desert Clean-Up

BULLHEAD CITY – A Desert Clean-Up is being organized through a joint effort of the City of Bullhead City, Mohave County’s ERACE program, Golden Vertex, Republic Services and Bullhead 4 Wheelers. The clean-up is scheduled for Thursday, December 5, from 8 a.m. to noon.
