Bishop to lead BOS for 2020

MOHAVE COUNTY – The gavel changed hands during Monday’s Mohave County Board of Supervisors meeting, the first of the new year. Supervisor Jean Bishop will serve as Chairman in 2020 after Hildy Angius led the board during 2019. Neighbors who opposed a photovoltaic solar energy project in Fort Mohave were pleased that the Board took no action on three items involving the development project. Summers promoted to sergeant

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) has announced the promotion of Stacy Summers to the rank of sergeant. Summers has demonstrated that he has the knowledge, experience, and drive to excel in his new rank at the Adult Detention Facility, and is recognized as a valuable member of MCSO. Summers started his career as a detention officer in August, 2013. In February  2018, he was promoted to corporal after excelling in his duties as a detention officer.
