NORTH MOHAVE COUNTY – Positive identification has been made involving a second set of human remains in what began as a missing persons investigation in north Mohave County. It was January 2018 when the Mohave County Sheriff’s office began checking into the disappearance of David and Susan McFalls, both 62. The McFalls had homes in Littlefield as well as in West Jordan, Utah. Early court records indicated the sheriff’s office was conducting a possible murder investigation, though the agency later labeled it as a death investigation. 62-year old awaiting sentencing for drug charges

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A Lake Havasu City woman has pleaded guilty to avoid prison in a near five-year-old drug case. Susan Deschaine, 62, could still get up to a year in jail when she is placed on supervised probation during a February 28 sentencing hearing. Deputy Mohave County attorney Jaimye Ashley said officers searching a Lake Havasu home in the 2700 block of Osbourne Drive confiscated 3.5 grams of methamphetamine from Deschaine’s purse. Grand Canyon National Park Announces 2021 Noncommercial River Trip Lottery Period

The National Park Service will begin accepting applications for noncommercial river trip permits to raft the Colorado River through Grand Canyon National Park on Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020. The permits are for specific launch dates within calendar year 2021. A total of 462 permits will be available for 12- to 25-day river trips. Valley boy found dead; possible quadding accident

GOLDEN VALLEY – The body of a Golden Valley boy was discovered Thursday, about 2.5 hours after he was reported missing. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said it appears that nine-year-old Alexander Lee was fatally injured in an accident involving a Yamaha 600 quad.
