Victim was stabbed multiple times; Nelson pleads guilty

BULLHEAD CITY – A stabbing at a behavioral health residential facility in Bullhead City will result in a prison term for one of the combatants. Ethan Nelson, 29, pleaded guilty Thursday, February 6 to aggravated assault. Terms of the deal require Judge Doug Camacho to impose a 2- to 8.75-year prison term during a March 18 sentencing hearing. Bullhead City police said Nelson stabbed his 60-year-old roommate multiple times last November at the Good Care Network home in the 2200 block of Ventura Drive. Sunbelt Park groundbreaking set for Tuesday

KINGMAN – The City of Kingman has announced the groundbreaking of Sunbelt Park. Kingman Mayor Jen Miles and other city officials will be in attendance for the groundbreaking ceremony taking place Tuesday, February 11, at 2:00 p.m. The event will take place at the park location on Airway Avenue, just east of Prospector Street. City officials, team members, and Bill Lenhart from Sunbelt Development will be in attendance. Bill Lenhart of Sunbelt Development donated the property for the park site.

Temporary Dog Park closures for maintenance and Winterblast event

LAKE HAVASU CITY – A closure of S.A.R.A. Dylan Dog Park is required for the consideration and safety of our K9 friends during the upcoming Winterblast event, beginning Monday, February 10 through Monday, February 17. During this timeframe crews will facilitate maintenance to the park. Dylan Dog Park will reopen Tuesday, February 18. Residents and visitors are encouraged to use the Lion’s Dog Park located at 1340 McCulloch Boulevard or the Avalon Dog Park located at 1294 Avalon Avenue during this time. Kino Avenue waterline project to start

KINGMAN – A project to install a new water transmission main on Kino Ave., between the Mohave Wash and Stockton Hill Road begins February 10. The first closure to take place will be Kino Ave. at the Mohave Channel to Walleck Ranch Dr. and should last three weeks.
