Local authorities have declined prosecution of a Lake Havasu City resident who has been linked to the drug overdose-related death of a recording artist in California. A lawyer representing a Chinese immigrant who allegedly worked as a prostitute from her home in Bullhead City is demanding information about federal agents who purportedly paid his client and others for sex acts. Lake Havasu city-based defense attorney Brad Rideout on Monday filed his motion seeking additional disclosure so he can prepare for the trial of his client Yuqin Shu, 57. KINGMAN – Drugs and weapons were seized late Friday when Kingman police responded to a report that unconscious subjects were spotted inside a vehicle parked at a business in the 3400 block of Stockton Hill Road. David Joe Concepcion, 44, and Amber Rodriguez Copsey, 24, were taken into custody at about 11:00 p.m. “Copsey and Concepcion were found to be under the influence of drugs,” said deputy police chief Rusty Cooper. KINGMAN – The state is not seeking the death penalty for suspects who have reportedly confessed involvement in the murder of a Kingman woman and burial of her body which was encased in a 55-gallon drum. The revelation came during consecutive pre-trial conference hearings conducted Friday at the Mohave County courthouse in Kingman. Attorneys informed the court that plea agreement offers have been extended to Mark Baldonado, 31, and Carrie Vanover, 23.
