KINGMAN – A local man reportedly admitted committing an act of arson and using dangerous drugs after authorities responded to a residential structure fire in north Kingman. The January 11 fire in the 3600 block of Lum Avenue was reported at 11:22 a.m. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) said witnesses saw a Hispanic man in the yard before responders first arrived on scene. KINGMAN – A confession is key in the case against two Kingman men arrested this week for the murder of another Kingman man whose body was found in a desert area behind the airport on January 14, 2019. Benjamin Dann, 24, and Alfred Talavera, 33, are charged with second degree murder in the blunt force trauma death of Kirklin Roach, 37. Court records reveal that Dann admitted abducting and killing Roach because he thought Roach was trying to have sex with his baby’s mother.
