LHCPD awarded Governor’s Office of Highway Safety Grant

The Governor’s Office of Highway Safety (GOHS) awarded the Lake Havasu City Police Department a grant of $30,178 to be used to conduct increased traffic enforcement and to purchase radar tracking equipment. The S.T.E.P. (Selective Traffic Enforcement Program) grant provides the Lake Havasu City Police Department the funds needed to increase traffic enforcement capabilities by assigning personnel on overtime to concentrate on speed enforcement activities. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Gregory Allen Hoefs, 27, of Lake Havasu City, for three counts of aggravated assault per domestic violence and disorderly conduct with a weapon per domestic violence, all felonies. FORT MOHAVE – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Kenneth Francis Mohs, 53, of Fort Mohave, for aggravated assault per domestic violence on Thursday, Oct. 17. According to a Mohave County Sheriff’s Office press release, the victim reported to officers that she had been in a verbal argument with her husband, Mohs. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Law enforcement continue to seek the public assistance in identifying a deceased man who was found floating between two rental boats near London Bridge Beach on Saturday, Oct. 5. The man is Asian, about 224 pounds, 5 feet 8 inches tall, black/graying hair, brown eyes, between 50 and 60 years old. He was found wearing a blue polo shirt, green tank top, blue jeans. KINGMAN – On Sunday, October 20, at about 3 a.m., Kingman Police arrested Bryan Forbes, 25, of Modesto, Calif., on a felony charge of aggravated assault. According to a press release, officers responded to the 1700 block of Beverly Ave., regarding the report of a person having been stabbed. Officers observed Forbes in the area, holding a knife.
