Gilligan trial to begin in late October

KINGMAN – Trial will begin on October 29 for a Kingman man accused of sexual abuse and torture of a local woman and her 11-year-old son. Prosecutor Jacob Cote, defense attorney Sandra Carr and Judge Billy Sipe will conduct a pre-trial hearing on October 28 to handle any motions or other matters in the case against Jerry Gilligan, 72. Andrew Lamorie, 23, and Brittany Rodriquez, 26, had been scheduled to be tried together next month for the January death of 27-month-old Gabriella Lamorie. Gonzales receives 14 years for preying on teenagers

A 14-year prison term was ordered September 25 for an 18-year-old Kingman man who admitted a variety of sexual involvements, including rape, of younger teenage victims during the first six months of 2018. Dillan Gonzales previously pleaded guilty to attempted sexual exploitation of a minor, two counts of attempted child molestation, attempted sexual assault and sexual conduct with a minor. Massive drug bust at veteran firefighters home

KINGMAN – A veteran firefighter was arrested Thursday after Homeland Security agents made a controlled delivery of 25 pounds of dimethyltryptamine, a club drug commonly known as DMT, to his home in Kingman. Mohave County Sheriff’s Detective Aaron Devries testified Friday that Alexander Muchow, 29, was detained as he tried to flee out the back of his residence at 3965 Walleck Ranch Road. Twiggs gets additional 18 years for drug possession in jail

GOLDEN VALLEY – An inmate accused of selling drugs while serving time in the state prison in Golden Valley who rejected a five year plea offer to resolve his case was instead given 18 more years in prison during a Monday hearing in Kingman. Donnie Twiggs, 59, was sentenced by Judge Billy Sipe. Twiggs is serving a 7.25 year sentence for Maricopa County drug convictions and he was set to be released from custody next July. Arsonist takes plea deal, faces up to 12.5 years in prison

KINGMAN – A woman accused of twice setting fires at a downtown Kingman property faces a possible prison sentence after entering a plea agreement Monday. Patricia Craft, 28, pleaded guilty to one arson of an occupied structure count, in exchange for dismissal of a second arson charge. Craft was jailed on June 20 for allegedly setting multiple brush fires near the downtown Kingman home where she resided with seven other people, including her own children.
