City of Kingman reminds residents that use of fireworks is illegal

KINGMAN – Arizona State law allows for the sale of permissible consumer fireworks. However, the use of any fireworks, other than novelty items, remains illegal within the Kingman City limits. The law allows for the sale of fireworks such as poppers, smokers and sparklers as well as ground-based sparklers, spinners and fountains to be purchased. The City of Kingman does allow for the sale of these fireworks within the City of Kingman, but their use is illegal. LAKE HAVASU CITY – Larry G. Henderson, 27, of Lake Havasu City was arrested and charged Thursday, Dec. 19 with 23 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Henderson’s home in the 3000 block of Whirlwind Lane was raided following a several months long investigation with Lake Havasu City (LHC) Police and the Arizona Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force regarding pornographic images of children having been flagged to the residence. ‘Sleeper’ charged with drugs, weapons, DUI

KINGMAN – A man who fell asleep behind the wheel at a local gas station was arrested and charged with drug and weapon offenses. Casey Ryan Pepper, 32, of Lake Havasu City, was found by Kingman Police Department (KPD) officers, asleep at the fuel pumps at a gas station in the 700 block of W. Beale St. in the wee morning hours of Thursday, Dec. 19. Upon investigation, Pepper was found to possess a firearm, methamphetamine, and paraphernalia. Laurel Holdway and Joshua Bare completed a 20-week academy where they gained knowledge in criminal and traffic law, criminal investigation, defensive tactics, and much more. 13-year-old arrested for vandalism in Kingman

KINGMAN – On Thursday, December 19, Kingman Police Department officers arrested a 13-year-old middle school student in connection to more than 50 incidents of criminal damage by graffiti. KPD had been taking reports over the past several days in referenced to multiple accounts of graffiti. According to a KPD press release, the total amount of damage is estimated to be in excess of $31,000. Officers developed suspect information on Wednesday. Two other students are also involved to lesser degrees and will be facing similar charges. Anyone with information or questions can call KPD at (928) 753-2191.
