KINGMAN – City offices will be closed in observance of the Christmas Holiday, Tuesday, December 24, and Wednesday, December 25, in Kingman. In addition, there will be no commercial trash service on Wednesday, December 25. Wednesday commercial customers should put their cans out one day late; residential customers will not be affected. KART will not be running on either Tuesday, December 24 or Wednesday, December 25. One dead, one injured in domestic violence incident

FT. MOHAVE – A domestic violence incident has resulted in a deceased man, and a woman with multiple gunshot wounds this afternoon, Sunday, Dec. 22. Mohave County Sheriff’s Office (MSCO) responded to a domestic violence call in the 2600 block of Phillip Circle at about 12:28 p.m. According to an MCSO press release, when deputies arrived on scene they found a deceased man at the resident with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. KINGMAN – On Wednesday, Dec. 11, Jeremiah Grant Peacey, 40, of Kingman was found guilty of theft of $170,000 from a suitcase stolen from a cart at the Kingman Walmart. During trial, Peacey did not dispute taking the suitcase, but rather the amount of money that was in the suitcase. He maintained that there was significantly less than $170,000. Nordyke sentenced to 12.5 years in prison

Mohave County Superior Court Judge Carlisle considered aggravating and mitigating factors before ordering the sentence including a letter written by Nordyke documenting his history.
