Adkins receives prison sentence after violating probation conditions

A Bullhead City man was sentenced to prison Wednesday after admitting he committed new crimes constituting violation of his probation for a prior armed robbery conviction. Bradley Richard Adkins, 22, was placed on five year’s probation for his involvement in a March, 2017 home invasion at a residence on Anna Circle. Adkins and co-defendant Cory Edward Cummings, 20, accepted plea agreements for entering the home in an attempt to sell an iPad. Boyea takes plea deal in stabbing case

A stabbing in Bullhead City last spring is being resolved through a plea agreement. Michael Scott Boyea, 35, Bullhead City, pled guilty Wednesday, March 6, to an attempted first degree murder charge. Deputy Mohave County Attorney Jaimye Ashley said the attack occurred after Boyea arrived at a friend’s home at 821 Glen Drive on May 21, 2018. “He walked behind the victim and stabbed the victim in the neck and back approximately five times,” Ashley said. One southern Nevada resident has been sentenced to prison while a judge has indicated he may reject terms of a plea agreement for her co-defendant charged in a crime spree that began in Las Vegas and ended in Mohave County. Mohave County Sheriff Doug Schuster has announced the formation of a Sheriff’s Advisory Council. This group of individuals was selected by Sheriff Schuster and his staff.
