County virus count at 57; 3 deaths

MOHAVE COUNTY, AZ (April 20, 2020) – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified this morning of two positive COVID-19 cases. The first is in the Lake Havasu City service area and the second is the Bullhead City service area. Both persons are in the 65+ age range and both are isolating and recovering at home. The Lake Havasu City case is epidemiologically-linked to another case. It is not known at this time if the Bullhead City case is travel-related, epidemiologically-linked to another case, or the result of community spread. Third virus-related death mars weekend

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Health Department MCDPH-Nursing staff was notified over the weekend of the death of one of the (previously identified) hospitalized COVID-19 positive cases in the Lake Havasu City service area. The individual was in the 65+ age range. This case was not epidemiologically-linked to another case, nor was it travel-related.  This death is among the 55 total positives in Mohave County. Shooting death updates

MOHAVE COUNTY – The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office has identified men who were killed in separate shooting incidents in rural Mohave County communities on Wednesday, April 15. Some additional details are provided in news releases issued Friday.    The suspected burglar who was killed in Dolan Springs has been identified as Alan Marc Baker, 51. Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said Baker exited a home he had allegedly burgled when he fired his rifle at neighbors outside Wednesday afternoon.    Mortensen said Baker was struck when the neighbors returned fire. KINGMAN – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies arrested Kevin Lee Dennis, 46 of Kingman, for Marijuana Possession, Dangerous Drug Possession, Dangerous Drug Possession for Sale, Narcotic Drug Possession, Narcotic Drug Possession for Sale, Drug Paraphernalia Possession, all felonies, and two active arrest warrants.
