Sting brings 15 years for sex offense

KINGMAN – Another defendant snagged in an investigation where a male detective posed as a 13-year-old girl is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections for sex offense convictions. Mohave County Superior Court Judge Rick Lambert imposed a 15-year prison term Monday for Shane McHone, 30, Kingman. Judge Lambert also sentenced McHone to lifetime probation once his prison sentence is completed, agreeing with prosecutor Karolina Czaplinska who said the convict should be monitored to make certain he doesn’t target minors again. DOLAN SPRINGS – A woman torched her uncle’s home in Dolan Springs after he evicted her from the premises, according to the Mohave County Sheriff’s office. Spokeswoman Anita Mortensen said dispatch received multiple calls just before 6:00 a.m. Tuesday that a residential structure was burning in the 8400 block of W. Seventh St. Mortensen said detectives began investigating due to suspicious circumstances. She said they learned that the homeowner evicted his niece from the property in early Nov. Two years for illegal dumping

KINGMAN -A Kingman man is going to the Arizona Department of Corrections for illegally dumping debris in the desert near the town of Hackberry. Shaun Dougherty, 41, was convicted of criminal littering in a plea agreement. Deputy Mohave County attorney Rod Albright told Mohave County Superior Court judge Derek Carlisle that Dougherty littered the desert with some 800 lbs. of trash off Antares Road in Dec., 2018.
