Members of the Republican Party in Mohave County responded to the Jan. 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C. “The day after the Capitol incident our phones were just ringing off the hook,” said County Recorder Kristi Blair. “Some were asking to be taken off the Republican party rolls and some Republicans re-registered as independents.” Blair said the phone call blitz quickly subsided. MOHAVE COUNTY – The Arizona court system will become the first in the nation to implement a new digital evidence management technology later this year, with Mohave County Superior Court participating as one of six pilot courts. Woman charged in boyfriend’s stabbing

KINGMAN – Chief Rusty Cooper said impairment is a suspected factor in a Kingman police department investigation of a domestic quarrel that ended in an early Thursday stabbing. Officers responded at about 2:30 a.m. to the incident in the 2500 block of Chambers Ave. Cooper said police contacted Kayla Blocker, 30, who told them that she had stabbed her boyfriend during an argument. “Officers observed blood on the floor and walls of the home,” Cooper said. “The boyfriend, who had left prior to police arrival, was not located.” Cooper said investigation produced confirmation of Blocker’s admissions as well as indication…
