KINGMAN – The Kingman police department reports a significant drug seizure following a Nov. 28 traffic stop. Deputy police chief Joel Freed said officers conducting traffic enforcement on westbound Interstate 40 pulled over a van after observing it being in an erratic manner and nearly colliding with another vehicle at mile post 56 at about 6:15 p.m. Officers reportedly made contact with the driver, Robert Romero, 45, and his passenger Andrew Harrison, 45, both of Kingman. KINGMAN – Kingman police report the arrest of a mental-health troubled Golden Valley man responsible for a Nov. 27 disturbance at a fast-food establishment in the 3300 block of East Andy Devine Ave. Officers responded to Taco Bell at 1:55 p.m. Deputy Chief Joel Freed said it was learned that Adam Vandusseldorp, 39, had tossed food trays and assaulted staff members inside the store. KINGMAN – Jury selection begins Monday for the trial of a former Mohave County Sheriff’s deputy charged for alleged sexual involvement with a teenager at a youth drinking party in Kingman. Judge Doug Camacho has asked that 70   prospective jurors be summoned to the Law and Justice Center in Kingman for a trial that is expected to conclude Wednesday. Andrew Sundberg, 24, is charged with sexual abuse and sexual conduct with a minor. KINGMAN – Trial has been scheduled next spring after local attorneys informed the Court that they’ve been unable to reach an acceptable plea agreement in the adult prosecution of a Kingman teenager charged in the deaths and injuries of fellow Lee Williams High School student athletes. Defense attorney Brad Rideout rejected separate state offers to resolve the case against Brady Shuffler in a plea deal subjecting the 16-year-old to a mandatory 16-year sentence or allowing Mohave County Superior Court Judge Derek Carlisle to select from a 16- to 24-year prison range.
