KINGMAN – Another defendant has been sentenced in a bizarre case in which an estranged Kingman couple admitted disposing the body of their teenage son before reporting him missing to law enforcement authorities early this year. Charges are still pending against Amber Leah-Valentine, 41, but Jon Imes, 42, appeared for sentencing Oct. 13 after pleading guilty to abandonment of a dead body. FT. MOHAVE – Mohave County Sheriff’s Office Deputies were called to a residence in the 1600 block of La Entrada for a reported prowler on Wednesday, Oct. 4. The homeowner advised that they had the suspect detained, on the ground at gunpoint. When deputies arrived on scene the homeowner advised he observed the door to one of his vehicles was open. Upon further inspection, he observed another vehicle had the door cracked open with the suspect’s leg sticking out of the door. LAKE HAVASU CITY – A man who abused his girlfriend during an alcohol fueled quarrel in Lake Havasu City has entered a plea agreement and begun serving jail time.
