MOHAVE COUNTY – Nearly 550 students will graduate from Mohave Community College and are preparing for the next step in their educational journey or their career.   Many graduates will continue their education by transferring to MCC’s university partners to complete their bachelor’s degree.   Among the graduates, five of them are 2020 All Arizona Academic Team members and will be transferring to state universities where they will work toward their bachelor’s degree. Their recognition as academic team members for MCC also means tuition for them is waived at the state’s three public universities.   The team members are Taschia Salas, a nursing student, Christina Henslee, a general studies student, Jennifer Jaimes Gomez,…

NAU’s Civic Service Institute to host statewide “Day of Sharing” virtual event May 14

Northern Arizona University (NAU)’s Civic Service Institute, which sponsors Senior Corps Programs throughout most of Arizona, is hosting a statewide virtual event to introduce adults, age 55+, to service opportunities in their local communities and neighborhoods. People were possibly stricken with this virus back in September of 2019. Some were sick until January 2020. It took using MMS and many other things to get rid of it. It is not easy to get rid of and is very dangerous, especially to those with weakened immunitys….

Covid-19 – Now What America?

Dear Editor, America is now opening back up. People are starting to venture back to church. Places of work are reopening. Restaurants are reopening. State parks are reopening. The beaches are opening many places. Most Americans are breathing a sigh of relief. Americans are sick and tired of Covid-19. We’re tired of hearing about it and we’re tired of the repercussions from it. More Americans now are unemployed since The Great Depression. More unemployment claims have been filed than ever before. Many Americans have filed for unemployment weeks ago and still haven’t a penny of money. I continue to hear…
