MOHAVE COUNTY – Late this afternoon, the Mohave County Health Department (MCDPH) Nursing staff was notified of 19 positive COVID-19 cases and one death in the Kingman area. Thirteen of the cases are in the Kingman service area; three are in the Lake Havasu City service area and three are in the North County (smaller communities).  The one death is of a 55-65 age range person, who is a previously identified case and is linked to a confirmed case. BULLHEAD CITY – On Wednesday, May 13, at approximately 1:10 am, the Bullhead City Fire Department responded to the report of a structure fire on the 700 block of Morro Cove. The first arriving unit reported a single-wide mobile home on fire with heavy smoke showing. Engine 761 completed a quick survey around the structure confirming it was unoccupied and began a defensive fire attack. Battalion Chief Livermore arrived shortly after directing all other incoming units. KINGMAN – Due to staffing concerns at the City of Kingman Public Works Department, the EZ Recycling program has been closed indefinitely. The City often relies on the Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR) to fill some much-needed positions within our city departments, and beginning March 25, 2020, ADCRR decided to not allow inmate staffing in local municipalities, because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
