Amateur radio club helps with emergencies

LAKE HAVASU CITY – When a mobile device dies or loses its signal, amateur radios will still work, which could come in handy for communication alternatives. The London Bridge Amateur Radio Association (LBARA) was formed in 1981.  Also known as ham radio, they are a nonprofit corporation that is actively involved with the community’s projects. The group provides radio communication for London Bridge days parades, walk-a-thons, MS charity bike rides, and much more.   They maintain mobile go boxes along with three communication repeaters needed for the Lake Havasu region. Nutritiion bar offers free outdoor workouts

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The gorgeous weather last weekend brought about a free outdoor workout class hosted by Charged Up Nutrition Bar. Many residents of Havasu attended the early morning workout.   The nutrition bar provided a live DJ to get the participants moving! The following day, the business hosted another free public event called Charged Up Sundays.  It was an early morning hike where the company provided attendees with smoothies along with a carpool to Havasu’s beautiful hiking trails.
