KINGMAN – Kingman Area School Retirees Association (KASRA), will have its next meeting on  Tuesday, May 28 at 11 a.m. at Calicos Restaurant. The guest speaker will be Debbie Vincent, principal of Yucca Elementary. The “worthy cause” will be school supplies. KINGMAN – Origin Mining will be hosting a job fair and golf tournament at Cerbat Cliffs Golf Course on Saturday, June 15, to benefit the Jerry Ambrose Veterans Council (JAVC). The JAVC provides vital services such as housing assistance, job training, and healthcare access to veterans in need. Cost is $110 per player, or $440 per team of four, and includes sway, lunch, and awards. There will be prizes for hole-in-one, longest drive, best dressed team, and closest to the pin. MOHAVE COUNTY – Kevin Gauthun was checking his emails when the one that would impact his future came through his inbox. The email made him feel excited and overwhelmed with happiness. The email notified him that he is the 2024 Kathy Hodel Most Outstanding Student award recipient. “It feels absolutely amazing to receive this award. LAKE HAVASU CITY – No injuries are reported after Lake Havasu City Fire Department personnel rescued parties trapped by fire at an apartment complex. Crews responded to the May 13 incident in the 100 block of Mulberry Ave. at 2:03 p.m. “The first arriving fire company reported a working fire with smoke and flames coming from a second story window and people trapped in a second story adjoining unit,” a news release said. “The trapped occupants on the second floor were rescued … and sustained no injury.” More than a dozen people are displaced by the incident and The American…

LAKE HAVASU CITY – Lake Havasu Disc Golf Club is working hard on building their athletic program for the youths of Lake Havasu, and this weekend, the public charity for Havasu’s grade schools will be hosting another upcoming exciting tournament.   The Battle at Bridgewater will have two rounds and ninety players will compete with eighteen holes and a shotgun start. Payouts for winners will be distributed at the end of the competition for both rounds.  The Pro Divisions will be awarded for the top three players  as each winner will receive a trophy and the top three players for the Amateur…
