Annual book sale slated in Valley
GOLDEN VALLEY – The Future Authors of America will host their annual book fair on Sunday, March 3 at the Golden Valley Events Center, 3341 Adobe Rd. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

LAKE HAVASU CITY – The London Bridge Republican Women’s Dinner will be held Monday, March 4 at Shugrues Bridgeview Room. KINGMAN – The Kingman Marine Corps League has led the way when building and maintaining the downtown Veterans Memorial Park. At a recent meeting the membership of the league chose to fly a new flag over the Kingman Veterans Memorial Park. The League consists of veterans from Vietnam to Iraq and Afghanistan. They wanted to try and fly one flag, year round, that would honor all veterans. The images symbolized on this new flag provided one flag that appears to accomplish this mission. KINGMAN, Ariz. – The City of Kingman will be working to update lane striping throughout the community starting on Monday, February 26th. There will be multiple crews working from 7:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. to complete this project. During this time there will be travel delays due to intermittent lane restrictions. The schedule is subject to change, pending weather conditions. The City of Kingman urges motorists to not drive through newly applied paint and to pay extra attention while driving in and around work zones and maintenance vehicles. LAKE HAVASU CITY – The Havasu Art Trail will be making their third comeback this weekend which will give the community an opportunity to discover a variety of artists in Lake Havasu. Husband and wife team Lance and Brenda Gibbs launched this art trail as a way to support local artists. In that first year, the participation was strong as they managed to showcase 50 artists at 21 locations. The Gibbs were previously members of the art guild that used to host studio tours.
